Follow Friday #1

Follow Friday is a brilliant way for bloggers to find new friends and get more followers. It's hosted by Rachel at Parajunkees View

This weeks 'featured' blog is: My Keeper Shelf

This weeks question is...

Do You Judge A Book By It's Cover?
OK, I'l admit it-a lot of the time, I do. I try not to, but you know how it is when you're in a bookshop an you're scanning the shelves, la dee dah...when BAM! You see a beautiful cover. You pick  p the book and read the blurb and even if you decide it doesn't look good you put it down, but at least it got noticed. Unlike the book with the awful cover...
But, since I've started blogging, most of the time I go into a bookshop knowing what book I want to get, so the cover doesn't really matter. And I also buy a few books off the internet, so I wouldn't be looking at the covers, more the reviews on Amazon...
So I do and I don't. But I do think it is important for books to have a nice cover, or at least one that would stand out on a shelf. For a lot of non-bloggers, they wouldn't have seen reviews and they wouldn't know as well what books are good and what are bad  (in the reviewers opinion).

If you have followed me because of Follow Friday, comment and I will follow you back! Bye! xxx

  1. Haha, I'm the same way! The pretty covers draw me in but I won't buy it just because it is pretty. I'm a new follower. My FF is at Coffee Table Reviews

  2. Haha I judge books by their covers all the time too!! Sometimes I pick up a "classic" with a famous cover so when I'm reading it in public people think I'm sophisticated and intellectual. Wow now I sound really lame. Anyways...
But I've read a bunch of good books with lousy covers and I'm so glad I did!! I didn't really like the cover of the first Hunger Games book but it turned out to be phenomenal!!
    Great post!!

    Awesome answer!

Oh, and thanks for reminding me that Hunger Games is being made into a movie! I'm not so sad anymore! :)

And how's Pretty Little Liars? I really want to read it, and I'd like to know what you think of it, 'cause I trust your reviews! Please, please tell me when your review is up!

Hope you had a great weekend!
